This is the largest Bangladeshi fruits, fish, and vegetable wholesale market. Market researchers claim that Kawran Bazar is one of the largest marketplaces in South Asia. As of 2002, the market had 1255 stores, and the daily revenue of the market is not less than 50 million in BDT.
