Vimruli Guava Market - ভাসমান পেয়ারা বাজার is located in Atghar Kuriana Union, Jhalokati district ( a southern region of Bangladesh). This is one of the most beautiful tourist spots in the Barisal division.
The floating guava market is mainly located in a village called Bhimruli. The village is a part of Swarupkathi Upazila in Pirojpur District. You can easily go there by road from Barisal City, passing through Jhalakathi and directly stopping at Atghar Kuriana (at Swarupkathi, Pirojpur).
The floating market appears as the center of Barisal's beauty. Local experts have no idea when the floating market began first, but old age people believe it’s a hundred-year-old tradition. Development and modernization are taking over the country but it’s surprising to see them not reaching this river-oriented life yet. For more than 100 years, the local farmers have been experiencing the ups and downs of life along with the ebb and flow of the river. Many farmers and wholesalers gather here every day. Not only guava but there are also other fruits sold in this market.

জুলাই, আগস্ট পেয়ারার মৌসুম হলেও মাঝে মাঝে সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত বাজার চলে। ভাসমান পেয়ারা বাজার দেখতে আগস্ট মাস সবচেয়ে উপযোগী সময়। সকাল ১১ টার পর পেয়ারা বাজারের ভীড় কমতে থাকে তাই ১১ টার আগে বাজারে যাওয়াই সবচেয়ে ভাল।
নদী অথবা সড়ক পথে দুভাবেই ঝালকাঠি পেয়ারা বাজারে যাওয়ার সুযোগ রয়েছে। তবে নদী পথে ঢাকা কিংবা যেকোন স্থান থেকে বরিশাল এসে ঝালকাঠি যাওয়াই সবচেয়ে সুবিধাজনক। বরিশাল লঞ্চ ঘাট থেকে অটো কিংবা রিক্সায় চৌরাস্তা এসে বাসে করে স্বরূপকাঠি লঞ্চঘাট পর্যন্ত ৫০ টাকা ভাড়া লাগবে। স্বরূপকাঠি লঞ্চঘাট থেকে ট্রলার ভাড়া করে সন্ধ্যা নদী দিয়ে ঢুকে আটঘর, কুড়িয়ানা, ভীমরুলী বাজার ঘুরতে পারবেন।
